Alhouse is top seed in PALL city championship
Alhouse King Realty is the top seed in the 2009 Palo Alto Little League city championship as the annual tournament kicks off Saturday at Middlefield Ballpark.
Led by an experienced and talented group of 12-year-olds, including star pitcher and slugger Kenta Yanagisawa, Alhouse finished the regular season with a 19-1 record. Second-seeded LPM Fire Protection Services featured a powerful lineup and a deep pitching staff en route to a 16-4 mark. Bike Connection, the only team to defeat Alhouse during the season, is seeded 3rd and Hengehold Truck Rentals is 4th. Four at-large teams—Old Pro, Palo Alto Venture Partners, Stanford Electric and All Out Baseball—round out the field.
First-round games begin Saturday morning at 11:30. The double-elimination tournament concludes June 13-14.
